A stake in the ground

We have outgrown our tiny cabin and we are going to build a larger house. It will be on the same plot of land in Hampshire County, WV that we call "Camp May." I plan to use this blog to track the progress of our project as it is built.

We started planning the project over a year ago, when we contracted with the architecture firm Reader & Swartz of Winchester, VA. After settling on a design for the house, we met with a few contractors and selected Homestead Contracting of Romney, WV to build the project.
